Download Buddy App Reviews
App worked great until I updated in Oct 2014. Now All I get is "Clipboard doesnt contain valid URL’s" "Valid URLs start with http://, https:// or ftp:// and point to a downloadable file”. Now the App does not download anything….. Please Fix
I was using Folx Pro. I like Download Buddy better now that I have tried it. Simple and works great on resuming/pausing downloads. I like this so much I would pay for it if it was’t free!!
in free version its as fast as not using dl manager and all it can do is pause resume ability there are other good free dl managers like fatpipe download shuttle and video hog free there is no point in downloading this app
Now working
I tried to download a simple file starting with “http” but this clever software says that my URL doesn’t start with http. lol
Doesnt work
Doesnt actually download anything. It just says "Queued" forever.
It does what it says. However, it is not super clear on how it works. I would have given it 5 stars if they would make the interface just a little more clear. If you do not get the correct link it will just sit there. So at first I was stumped. I had not clicked on the proper portion. You need to make sure you are copying and pasting the piece that is actually the command to downloadn it will instantly start. So if it does not you are using the incorrect link.
Crashes every time
Your app crashes every single time in OS X 10.9.1
Seems to work fine - but the real advantage of a download manager is that it should break a file into multiple chunks for quicker downloading in parallel. This app does not do so.
It does not support FTP downlods or multisegment downloads. It doesn’t show the pending time in dynamic units (hours/minutes/seconds) and instead just defaults to showing the pending time in minutes, e.g. 1600 minutes, which is really less than useful. Pressing Clear resumes a Paused download, which is strange. There is no way to cancel a download as the Cancel function is unavailable.
The interface is too clunky. It would be a million times more useful if it was possible to drag & drop images, files, links etc. Even better if you could drag a url and it auto detected all linked files. I’m sticking with SpeedTao for now.
Awesome App for what we use it for
When we need to download 1,000s of book covers to design a catalog we use this it saves us hours of time.
YOUTUBE download requires login
When I attempt to download a youtube video I get a message to Login… I am logged in with my youtube credentials… not sure what this means…. Help is of NO help…I haven’t tried to down load videos from other sources…. I like the simple browser… but not sure if this is a “Down Load” buddy… so I give 1 star...
This app does not work at all
This app does not work at all. It keeps showing you need a login but then you login and it ignores you and then you do it again after logging in and it says the same thing. It goes in circles without doing anything. May I have my $3 back please?
Great Tool!
This is a great tool for scraping multiple URL’s. I used it for images. Scraped 10k images in a couple minutes. Big time saver and easy to use.
Все супер!
Отлично выполняет свою задачу. Можно влставлять список ссылок.
needs drag-&-drop

Its OK - but doesn’t break file into multiple parts
